Quick 3D
A’ite. so after my last model I wanted to work on my UVW mapping and baking, avoiding schemes and having even distribution
just to see if i could.
So i spent tonnes some of time to make some awesome acceptable characters to test my skillz
The objective was to make… a “detailed” model with over 20k polly’s, and optimise it to run for game by dropping polygons to less than 2,000.
UVW mapping with normal and specular maps to maintain detail…. (and maybe drop it into a game)
and I did all of that
pretty well
For those who have no idea what I’m going on about:
tri’s and polygons are faces that the 3d model is made up of.
The less polygons or tri’s the 3d model has The better it will generally perform but the more blocky it’l appear.
games favour lower polygons because the game will run smoother that way. Lag = bad
( that’s probably the simplest way I can put it )
